Mangaluru : A modeling young woman, who was preparing to travel to Bangalore to participate in a photo shoot, was found dead by hanging-in a room at a Ashraya Colony in Kumbala.
The deceased has been identified as Prekash (17), the youngest daughter of Chitraprasad and a local Anganwadi activist, Vanitha of Kumpala.
She was a first-year student at Nitte PU College near Nanthoor, Mangalore. Prekash’s older sister Pratiksha went to college. So Preksha was alone in the house. In the afternoon, a local woman learns about the incident and informs her mother.
It is said, when the mother had gone to work in Anganwadi, the three men had come home. In the afternoon, the corpse was found lying in the bed of the room in hanging state.
The locals have informed the police that three youths – Sourav, Yatiraj and Bhavith – have come on a scooter towards the house of Prekash. Locals also informed the police about another young man. Bhavith is the son of a local Congress leader and a Ganja addict.
Locals have expressed fears of murder. Suspicions have been cast on those who have come home. Police have visited the site of the incident and are investigating.
