Mangaluru: “Mahadayi river dispute is not a big issue for the Prime Minister. He can solve this in a minute,” said former union minister Janardhana Poojary.
Speaking to the media personnel at Mangaluru Press Club on Saturday, he said that Though Mahadayi river dispute is a big issue, state and union governments have failed to manage the situation and to find a solution for this. It is the question of drinking water.
“PM is not ready to solve the issue. It will take only one minute for him to solve this problem. But he is not at all showing any interest in it. Modi should do what the previous PM’s like Indhira Gandhi, Shashthry and Morarji Desai had done. He should hold talks with all the three states concerned authorities and CMs,” he said.
Further urging the resignation of all MPs of Karnataka he said “All MPs who are elected from Karnataka should resign to their posts. Let the government to fall down. All the MLAs also should resign then the state government falls down. We are not here to collapse any governments, we are here to ask justice for 6 crore people of Karnataka, who are suffering.”
Addressing CM Siddaramaiah he said that people of Karnataka are dying for water and women are shedding tears, CM thinks that not celebrating his birthday is biggest achievement.
