New Delhi: The new Kudamkulam nuclear power plant which was constructed jointly by India and Russia was dedicated jointly by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Russia President Vladimir Putin and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalitha, on Wednesday.
The dedication ceremony was held through a video conference. In the video conference held at New Delhi External Affair Minister Sushma Swaraj and Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan were present beside PM Modi. Putin attended the conference by sitting in Moscow office and Jayalalitha at Chennai.
Speaking on the occasion this is a considerable development is terms of producing pure energy. He wished that that the relationship between Russia and India should be a long term relationship.
“I will be waiting for you at G-20 meet at China. This is a great occasion for the engineers of India as well as Russia. I congratulate them for their continues effort. This project is the new link between India and Russia,” he said.
