Belthangady: “The Prime Minister Narendra Modi should become the reason behind creating a alcohol free nation, as he created ‘swach bharat’,” said Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade.

He was addressing the gathering at alcohol rehabilitators convention held at Dharmasthala on Saturday.

“Some years ago, alcoholics were brought to the rehabilitation centres forcefully, but now many people voluntarily attend the rehabilitation camps. This should convert as a revolution. A healthy society should be created along with cleaner one,” he said.

He further said that SKDRDP is doing a good job by warning about the bad habits and bringing the addicted people to mainstream. No one can find a loophole in this programme.

District in-charge Minister Ramanath Rai said that it is difficult to control the alcohol addiction by using any law.

“Dr D Veerendra Heggade is doing a great job by convincing the addicts about the effects of the addiction. Many families are living a happy life because of this programme. People belonging from all the levels of the society should support this programme,” he added.
