Mangalore : Former Union minister and senior congress leader Janardhan Poojary said that it is a drawback to the BJP party, which nominated Gujarat CM Narendra Modi as its Prime Ministerial candidate in the forthcoming elections.
Addressing the press meet held at District congress office on September 14, Saturday, he said that BJP has finished the story of L K Advani and Sushma Swaraj by nominating Modi. He has started to divide the party already, he said.
Due to communal riots, many have lost their lives in Gujarat. He has taken respect from the people in Gujarat by creating fear in their minds. As per the Supreme Court order to reinvestigate the encounter case a total of 31 cops including DIG were arrested and are in jail to the present day for the fake encounters. Looking the situation Vajpayee has asked Modi to give up the post, he said.
Poojary said that Advani had also slammed Rajnath Singh for nominating Modi as PM candidate without consulting BJP states chief ministers. Further he will suffer for his decision, he added.
