Mangalore : Mohammad Arif Padubidri, Chief Reporter of Vijaya Karnataka daily has been chosen for the Pa. Go. Rural  Reporting Award for the year 2012. The Award is given by the DK District Working Journalists Union.

He has been selected for the Award for his report ‘Napkin Ghatakada Yashogathe’  published in Vijaya Karnataka on June 12,2012.

The award presentation ceremony will be held at Press Club Hall of Patrika Bhavan on June 1,  at 10.45 am. Senior journalist Chidambar Baikampady will present the award carrying a cash prize of Rs 5001/-, a citation and a memento.

The Award money is sponsored by Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala, said Srinivas Nayak, General Secretary of the Union.
