Mohan Ranya murder case : another accused arrested

Mohammed-AsifMangalore : One Mohammad Asif (26) who was wanted in the case of a murder reported from Moorukaveri near Kinnigoli in 2009, has been arrested by the Mulki police at Chikmagalur. Asif   resided at Bajpe and hailed from Guttakadu.

He was arrested in connection with the murder of  Mohan Ranya  when the latter was returning home, during a communal clash. It is said the orange lungi which Ranya was wearing was the reason for the attack on him.

Police have already arrested one Isubu of Mudur in connection with the murder.

It is said Asif was abroad after the murder and was arrested at Chikmagalur following a tip off.
