Bangalore: Law Minister Dr.M.Veerappa Moily here indicated today that the Union Govt had an open mind for talks with BJP and other national leaders on the issue of breaking the impasse over a Joint Parliamentary Committee investigation onto the 2G Spectrum scandal, in which DMK MP A.Raja brought about huge loss of Rs.1.75 lakh crores to the national exchequer from capitalists like Tata and Ambani. Moily was talking to reporters. He wanted sooth functioning of Parliament, amidst all those scams that wrecked an Autumn session of Parliament. He was attending 46th convocation of Bangalore University here on Tuesday.
He refused to commit to opposition demands, but indicated that talks were going on to find a solution, on JPC probe.
Replying to question on Judiciary, Moily defended the Judiciary by saying that the elected representatives should be cautious while passing remarks over Judiciary. Derogatory remark cannot help build credibility of the Judicial institution, he made it clear.
