Mangaluru : Christians at twin district celebrated the Feast of the Nativity of Mary and Harvest Festival also popularly known as Monthi Fest across the district on September 8, Tuesday.

Churches followed COVID rules and regulations during the fest,  the gathering is not as large as earlier, in view of Covid restrictions.

Only a limited number of faithful were allowed inside churches. Masks are compulsory and those entering churches were subject to thermal scanning and sanitizers are also provided. Children below 10 years and those above 60 years are not permitted.

The newly harvested paddy stocks and sugarcanes were blessed by the Parish Priests and distributed to the faithful.
