Mangalore: Reports state that Loretta R V Rebello, the owner of the Morning Mist home stay was planning to file a defamation case against C Manjula, the Chairperson of the State Women’s Commission for issuing statements, which defamed her(Rebello), during the Chairperson’s visit to the Stay Home recently. Rebello said the statement of Manjula tried to convey the message that illegal and immoral activities were underway in the home stay.
She also said the recent developments have traumatized her since the past few days ever since the raid took place on the home stay.
Rebello also said she would reconsider her decision only if the Women’s Commission Chairperson apologized.
On the notices served to the home stay on the grounds that it was illegal, she said her home stay was not illegal and that she was duly paying taxes.
