Mangalore:  Morning Star Higher Primary School of Bajpe has bagged the championship in both the boys and girls higher primary school category in the 16th Independence Cup Football tournament organized at the Nehru Maidan Mangalore,

St Joseph High School won the championship in the high school girls category by defeating NITK by 2-0 goals.

Over 150 teams are participating in this tournament organized by the Dakshina Kannada District Football Association.
