Mumbai : Nandini Agrawal, a housewife staying on the twelfth floor of a 24-storeyed residential building in Kandivali here jumped to her death alongwith her three-year-old son on Wednesday evening.

At the time of suicide, there was only their domestic servant, Prakash Pawar present.

Pawar told police that Nandini’s husband had been away to his home in Uttar Pradesh.  Nandini first tried to commit suicide by setting herself on fire with LPG, but the servant  prevented her from doing so.

When the servant went to inform this matter to her husband over phone, Nandini took her three-year-old son and jumped from the window sill on the 12th floor.

Police did not find any suicide note.

The servant said, Nandini appeared to be mentally perturbed for the last several days.
