Mangalore: There on single vehicle were killed on the spot on Monday night at Halekote in Belthangady Taluk, when their motorbike collided with a speeding KSRTC service bus, around 9PM.

Vincent of Punjalkatte and Biju of Koyyur were identified in death. The third person is unknown.

The state bus was overtaking a vehicle on way from Mangalore to Dharmasthala, when the unfortunate mo-bike came under it. The bus was full with passengers and the crash of the driven of motorbike losing his control was so severs that the 3 riders went under the moving bus into its rear, never to get up.

All passengers in the bus had to vacate, as motorbike caught fire, burning its maimed driven under the bus.

A fire, brigade rushed to the spot to put out the fire, that swallowed the vehicle (bike), and destroyed parts of the bus.

For 30 minutes, the road traffic was held up under the impact of the accident.
