Mangalore : The Kannada film ‘Ijjodu’ is based on the devadasi system which was present in the earlier centuries will be released in Mangalore’s New Chitra theatre on July 23, Friday, said Sudheer Attavar.
Speaking the press meet held at press club on July 15, Thursday, he said that the film ‘Ijjodu’ directed by MS Satyu produced under the banner of Reliance Big Picture means incompatible.  The story is taken from novel written by Anand. Since the theme of the film is one of the subjects to the students, they will be given 50 percent off on the entry ticket for the group of 10 students.
The premier show in Mangalore’s New Chitra and Udupi’s Harsha theater will be screened free of cost.
The film will be released in the presence of renowned Bollywood actor Farooq Shiek and film team. Big FM RJ Avinash of who is also an associate producer of the film with compere the event.
The team will also conduct interactive programme with the director and team on July 24, Saturday at 11 am.
Dr P N Mayya, Dr Jacintha D’Souza, Prof Radhakrishna and Devdas Kapikad will participate in the interactive programme, said RJ Avinash.
