Mudabidri : It is a Fight Between sitting MLA Abhayachandra  Jain of Congress a three time winner, Amarnath Shetty a popular figure in Mudabidre who also won three times and contesting for the 10th time and Umanath Kotian from BJP who is the president of Tulu Sahitya Academy comes from Billava community.

The cast vise Bifurcation of voters are as follows, Billavas 43,000, Bunts 20,000, Christians 32,000, Vishwa Karma 12,000, SC,ST 10,000, Muslims 18,000, and others 32,000.

The candidate list goes like this K Abhyachandra Jain Congress, Amarnatha Shetty JDS, Umantha Kotian BJP, Ismail B  SDPI, Michel Lobo KJP, and Abhayakumar Jain an Independent.

It is a direct fight between Abhyachandra Jain, Amarnatha Shetty & Umanatha Kotian coming Close Third. But Umanath Kotian can spring a surprise result if he can garner Billava and SC,ST votes to BJP.
