Mulki : Yes, the Mulki police station is in a bad condition without having a Police Control Room( PCR) van to go round the town looking for accident and untoward road mishaps this has resulted in lots of efficiency in the police station limits of Mulki, which is talked about as an extension of Mangalore as a satellite town before long.
The Mangalore City Police Commissionerate, headed by Manish Kharbikar, IPS and CPC, as not bestowed a PCR van to Mulki to run its errands to check road accidents and other crimes in town so far.
The inspector of police of Mulki as time and again requested the Mangalore City Police Officers to donate a PCR van to his Police Station, as the available van is damaged in a mishap during Home Minister George’s visit to the coastal city some time back.
Apart from the damage done to this van, another van use by the Sub Inspector of Mulki is not in proper condition and visits garages every now and then to remain in disuse.
As such the 2 existing vans have become liabilities and not as it’s to the Mulki Police Station.
The only way out is now to have a new PCR van from Mangalore City Commissionerate. As things are going from bad to worse, the Mulki police station is in a quandary as to what it can do to control road accidents during day or night without patrolling and reducing all kinds of accidents and crimes likely to happen in this suburban area to Mangalore, unless a new PCR van is bestowed upon the Mulki Police officials
