Mangalore: Abhayachandra Jain former chief whip and now minister for youth, sports and fisheries minister, in the new congress Govt. was the butt of attack by the Mulky auto rickshaw drivers who had agitated in Mulky recently against bad roads and presently for a LPG rate hike to increase the auto rickshaw fare hike in a protest meeting held infront of DCO on 1st January, 2014.

Vishnumurthy, president of DK district auto drivers’ and owners’ union, address the meeting and condemned an alleged attempt to assault Prashant an auto rickshaw driver who was protesting in Mulky against bad road conditions, the other day and said it was improper on the part of the mister (Jain) to raise a hand even as a minister, and disserves to be removed by CM from the cabinet, If he did not offer a public apology to the auto drivers union.

CITU member Sunil Kumar Bajal complained that in all 4 years of A C Jain’s tenure as MLA in Moodabidre, he did not bother to get the roads of Mulky in his constituency repaired and made fit for auto rickshaws and other vehicles to ply in the town, but he was ready to raise a hand of assault against Prashant who was protesting against the minister.

Prashant, the auto driver who Jain allegedly tried to assault, Ashok Kumar, Mohammed Rifwan, Arun,  L T Suvarna, Mohammed Ansar and others were present at the DCO rally today.
