B C Road: You might re call that Mumtaz (25) and her 2 children had ended their lives by jumping of Netravati Bridge on June 19, 6 months back due to family problems of mental harassment by her husband Anwar Sadiq around 30 who was employed in Saudi Arabia. When he came to India on Dec.18 this year Delhi police were waiting for him with a reserved lock-up room in Delhi and pounced on him at IG International Airport.

Anwar was send to B C Road were DK police were waiting for him and he was produce in a court of law on Dec.27 and remanded to 15 days of judicial custody.

Mumtaz’s father from her native place at Hidayatnagar in Kallapu, Thokkot told the police in a complaint that Anwar had mentally harassed Mumtaz to such an extent from Abroad that she had heigther to marry again or get out of her house or take her life. She had chosen the last path by joumping of the Ullal Bridge in to Netravati River to die along with her Children, which was unfortunate at a young age, when as a Muslim divorcee she could have married anyone else after 3 months.
