Bangalore : Union Minister of state for Railways K H Muniyappa today called on Karnataka Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda to highlight about the drought situation in Kolar district.

According to an official release here, Mr Muniyappa appealed to Mr Gowda to include Bangarpet, Mulbagil and Siddlaghatta in drought-prone taluks and extend all necessary relief works to these areas.

He was accompanied by Sidlaghatta Legislator V Muniyappa.

During the meeting, Mr Muniyappa also discussed about the dedication of Bangalore Metro on October 20.
