Mangalore : As per police investigations, a person who was stabbed to death at Mangalore central railway station on Oct 2, Thursday is said to be pick pocket in Mangalore.
The murdered Jayraj alias Subba alias Nama (27), was a resident of Bajalkodi Jalligudde, who used to wander frequently at railway stations on his business of pick pocketing.
The deceased is said to have few case lodged against him at Pandeshwar and Bunder police stations.
It is recalled that, Jayraj was stabbed many times and found dead in the south end of the railway station around 1.45 in the morning.
According to police, the murder may be either committed by the professional rival who was said to be competing with him in pick pocket and another reason for the murder is suspected to be killed while he tried to steal the money from them.
The police identified the deceased with the help of a paper with phone number found in his pocket.
Mangalore Railway Police are investigating the case.
