Mangalore : In relation to the ghastly murder of Ramakrishna A S (48), administrative officer of K V G Medical College here, on the night of April 28 by motor bike-born assailants with sharp weapons, the personnel of Dakshina Kannada district criminal intelligence bureau have arrested two accused today morning Monday, May 9.
Speaking at the press meet held at SP office on May 9, Monday, IGP Alok Mohan said that, the arrested are identified as Renukaprasad and Manoj, who are also working in KVG Medical College.
The police have seized the cash amount of Rs 15,08,000, one Mahindra Pick-up, one motar bike, 2 swords and mobile phones.
Reportedly it is said when the DCIB investigated the three suspects like Sharan from Akashbhavan, Shankar alias Bhavani Shankar from Bajal and Nagesh from Sakleshpura, they revealed that accused Renukaprasad had planned for the murder of Ramakrishna A S and gave the money to Nagesh, Manoj and Vaman.
Tug-of-war over college administration is stated to be the reason for this murder. Ramakrishna, who was strict and straight forward, had displeased many because of these traits, he added.
