Mangalore: Kodijal Ibrahim, Vice-President, Muslim Central Committee has said that the new ministers and MLAs who are serving the society without any discrimination on the basis of caste or creed, will be honoured on behalf of the Committee at Town Hall on June 23.
Informing this to reporters, he said the Committee hoped that the Congress rule in the state will bring peace and harmony in the district as well as the state. He said the district faced a lot of trouble during the BJP rule in the form of moral policing, attacks on churches and mosques etc.
He said the function is organised to appreciate as well as remind the elected representatives to keep up the promises made to the electorate.
Mohammad Masood, President of the Committee said that Karnataka Forest and Environment Minister Ramanatha Rai, Health and Family Welfare Minister U T Khader, Minister for Urban Development Vinay Kumar Sorake, Minister for Sports and Youth Services Abhayachandra Jain, MLA from various constituencies, Pramod Madhwaraj, JR Lobo, Gopal Poojary, Vasanth Bangera, Moihdeen Bava and Shakunthala Shetty will be felicitated on the occasion.
Secretary Muhammed Hameed, Joint Secretary-Ahmad Bava, Ahmad Bava Padil, Moihdeen, Hameed Kudroli, Majeed, CM Mustafa, Haneef were also present at the press meet.
