Mangalore : Chief Minister Siddaramaiah must take action against the fake encounter killing of innocent cattle trader Kabeer of Jokkatte and hand over case to CBI, said Mohammad Masood, president Muslim Central Committee.
Addressing the media at the press meet held at Hotel Woodlands on April 20, Sunday, Masood said that Home minister K J George has assured to hand over fake encounter case to the COD, but since transparent probe is necessary into the case, the committee have urged the delegation from DK comprising of health minister U T Khader, Moideen Bava and Ramanath Rai will meet the Chief minister and urge to hand over the case to the CBI.
He also said that after the incident of fake encounter, the ANF police have registered a false complaint against the Kabir and others of illegally transporting cattle, which is not true.
Masood said that ANF police has played a foul game in this fake encounter after joining with the Bhajarangdal activists. The government has declared a compensation of Rs 5 lakh for Kabir’s family, but government must give at least Rs 30 lakhs to the family as compensation based on justice.
Committee members Vasudev Boloor, Sayeed Ismail, Haneef Hajee, B Aboobakar, Moideen Monu, Basha Thangal, C M Musthafa, Yusoof Akthar, Mohammad Shareef and many others were present.
