Mangalore:  It has been alleged that a 23 year old woman   was beaten by up a group of 12 people and robbed of cash and cell phone while she was travelling in a car  with a man belonging to another community near Bajpe.

The victim is Deeba Algani whose mother Zubeida, a BJP backed  member of Padubidri GP. She said a cash of Rs 3 lakh and a cell phone has been looted.

Deeba who is in the hospital, said the group wanted to know why she was travelling with a Hindu         man and also said she overheard the assailants speaking in Beary language and referring to the Karnataka  Forum for Dignity.

Deeba said she was  travelling in  the car of one Dharma, a realtor from whom she had taken a house ion lease and that  she was asked to travel in the car of Dharma by her mother as their own car was full of household appliances.
Meanwhile, the Popular Front of India has clarified that it has got nothing to do with the incident.
