Mangalore : Rangha Bharati of Mangalore in association with Karavali Group of Colleges organized ‘Naadha Nrithyadharaamrutha’ a cultural event for the inmates of Mangalore Sub Jail on October 8, Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, S. Ganesh Rao, president of Karavali Group said that jails is a reformation centres and urged inmates to forget their past and lead a new life in the society after they completed their terms.
Remembering the days spent in jail a few years ago, Mayor Praveen said that jails lacked basic facilities and assured to provide better facilities. He also assured to provide cable television within a week on the demands of the inmates.
Deputy Mayor Geetha Nayak, Dakshina Kannada Working Journalists’ Association President P. B. Harish Rai, Harikrishna Punarooru, and many others were also present.
