Mangalore : District JD(S) President M B Sadashiv, said that the JDS party has been strengthened after B Nagaraj Shetty joined the party.

He was speaking at the press meet held at Hotel Maya International on October 15, Monday. He also said that the JD(S) activists have fear of losing the power of JDS, hence a special committee has been formed to welcome the new members coming into the party and dismiss the members who want to go out.

He also said that on October 29 the JDS will hold convention at Town Hall at 10.30 am to reconstruct the party and welcome the new members into the party.

Amarnath Shetty, Former Minister and senior party leader, handed over the charge to Nagaraj Shetty given by Karnataka state JD(S) President HD Kumaraswamy for joining the party on the occasion.

He said that the leader’s joint efforts will strengthen the party from the core. At present JD(S) has three State Vice Presidents in Nagaraj Shetty and Amarnath Shetty and Sushil Noranha representing the minorities.

B Nagaraj Shetty said that he did not ask for the post, but the leaders of the party gave it to me and I accepted it and will assure to fulfill the responsibility.

He also said that he would not contest in any election, but will keep my life reserved for JD(S) and I will work as a party activist for the welfare of the poor and the backward classes.
