Mangalore : The JD(S) election manifesto was released by party leader Nagaraj Shetty at a function held in the city on February 27, Wednesday. The Manifesto makes much promises and above all assures to solve several longstanding problems of the city.
Speaking after releasing the manifesto, Shetty said the JD(S) will bring about a change in the MCC rule if elected to power and promised that the party would work for the welfare of the city.
He also said that the JD(S) would not contest the next election if it fails in keeping up its promise.
Continuing, he said the party was aware of the problems faced by the daily wagers serving the MCC and said their services would be regularized if the JD(S) was elected.
He also assured that the party would strive to solve the drinking water problem and complete the construction of the second vented dam at the earliest.
He also accused the erstwhile BJP rule of concretizing the roads to suit the builders rather than to protect the interests of the people.
Several party leaders including State Vice President Sushil Noronha, Shashiraj, Youth president Akshith Suvarna, M G Hegde and Aslam were among others present on the occasion.
