Mangaluru: Inauguration ceremony of a new theater in the name of social worker and journalist late Nagesh Padu was held at Sri Saraswati Bhajan Mandir of Saraswati Nagar with the Vedic programs and mass Sri Satyanarayan Puja, Bhajan program.
In the evening, a jouralist programme was held at the New Theater Hall. The function was presided over by Shivananda Tagadur, President of Karnataka State Journalists’ Association and the responsibility of journalists is very important in social transformation. It is a novel history in the field of journalism that the people of the town build a theater to remember the departed journalist. It has taught social commitment to the press. He felt that the responsibility of the journalist has increased.
