Mangalore : Member of Parliament Nalin Kumar Kateel, of Dakshina Kannada District, called on Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Shipping, Road Transport and Highways in New Delhi on Thursday, August 7.
He appealed the union minister for the sanction of funds for the following Road projects in Karnataka which were already sanctioned by the Union Government earlier.
1.Road connecting Mani-Ullal in Dakshina Kannada District, connecting NH-48 at Melker and NH-17 at Thokkottu (29Km)
2.Road connecting Byndoor (NH-17) to Ayanur (NH-206) via Kollur-NagodiGhat-Nittor-Nagara-Hosanagara-Rippanpet (137.8 Km)
3.Road connecting Udupi(NH-17) to Sulya (SH-85) via Karkal-Dharmasthala-Kukke Subrahmanya (170Km)
4.Development of Mangalore Highway
Kateel also urged the Union Minister for the development of Mangalore Port and to take necessary action to fill up the vacancies in NMPT.
Satyajit Suratkal, Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangha (BMS) and other office bearers of BMS were also present.
