Mangalore : Deputy Commissioner Harsha Gupta said that  only those voters whose names have been included in voters’ list can exercise their franchise in the May 5 Assembly polls.

The DC who communicated with election officers of the district  through a wireless network system from his office, said  those who possess EPIC but do not have their names in the voters list will not be able to vote.

Voters whose names are included in the list should produce any of the 23 identification documents before the officers at the booth so that they can exercise their franchise, the DC said.

The officers on election duty can complain on the Helpline 1077 on election day  in case of any poll code violation.

MCC Commissioner Harish Kumar was also present.
