Mangaluru: Namma Angadi, the annual event hosted by the School of Communication (SOC), is all set to take place from March 9 to 11.
Speaking to media persons, SOC Director Dr Padma Rani said MAHE Pro Chancellor Dr H S Ballal will inaugurate the event on the SOC premises. A variety of organically sourced products, apparel, wooden furniture and handicrafts showcasing local craftsmanship will be on sale, she added.
Organised by the postgraduate students of the institution as part of their curriculum, this year’s event will be the 15th edition. Namma Angadi is an exhibition organised in association with the Concerned for Working Children (CWC), Kundapura.
All the proceeds will go to ‘Namma Bhoomi’ (Our Earth), an initiative of CWC. Namma Bhoomi is an eco-friendly residential campus where the children are provided education, vocational training, and a safe haven..
