Manipal : Eminent writer Vaidehi has expressed her grave concern over the rising cases of atrocities on women in urban areas.
Speaking after inaugurating the annual tenth edition of Namma Angadi, organised at the premises of Manipal Institution f Communications here on March 1, Friday, she urged the students of mass communications to create awareness on the violence against women. She inaugurated the event by printing on a cloth.
The present generation which is concerned about protecting culture has certainly not disappointed us, she said adding we can expect much more from the present generation when he understand the real meaning of real freedom and unrestricted freedom.
Dr MV Kamath, Honorary Director of MIC, also spoke on the occasion.MM Ganapathi Shivanand, Directors of Namma Angadi, Varadesh Hiregange, Director of MIC and others were present.
