Mangalore : More than 500 colourful lanterns Attracted in ‘Goodu Deepa’ competition organized by Namma Kudla held at Shanthoshi Kalamanapa, Kudroli Shree Gokarnanatheshwara Temple, here on Friday November 1.

Traditional, Modern and Nature, three categories are organized in the competition. Participators brought different types of lanterns to the venue.

More than Hundreds of audience attracted with lanterns art , they made. Small to Big shapes, sizes, lanterns exhibited at the premises.

A Sadananda Shetty, president of Shri Devi Education Trust was honoured with the ‘Namma Tuluveru’ Award.

‘Namma Kudla-2013’ Award conferred to Dr Mohan Alva, chairman of Alva’s Education Trust . St Aloysius School, student Shreyank S Kotian recognized with a talent award.

Former MLA Krishna J Palemar, MCC commissioner Ajith Kumar Hegde, MLA Abhaychandra Jain, Sai Ram, Harish Karkera, Leelaksha Karkera, Mohan Karkera, Suresh Karkera, H S Sairam, Padmaraj, Dr B G Suvarna, Navaneeth Shetty and Bhaskar Rai Kukkavalli were present.
