Mangalore : Senior Congress leader and Former Union Minister B Janardhana Poojary said that Narendra Modi is a Sardar of lies and it would be mistake to project Modi as the candidate for Prime Minister Post.
Addressing the press meet held at District Congress Office on July 16, Tuesday, he said that Modi will never becomes the Prime Minister of the country in his life time.
Poojary criticized Modi’s statement in recent interview, in which he compared 2002 Gujarat riots to that with the struggling puppy. This statement clearly shows that he was making the reference to the Muslim community.
Poojary also targeted Muslim women by making a statement of Congress with hiding behind a burqa which is believed to be a symbol of secularism. Instead he could use the term hiding under the carpet.
He also said that Supreme Court had even rejected the report drafted by the Special Investigation Team which gave him clean chit in the Gujarat riots.
Congress members Sadashiv Ullal, Harikrishna Bantwal, Kallige Tharnath Shetty, Arun Coehlo and others were present.
