Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada District Rationalist Association founder, RTI Activist Narendra Nayak filed a complaint at Urva police station in Mangaluru city on Wednesday after two unknown persons followed him on the same day and tried to attack him when he was travelling by his car in the early morning hours. The unknown persons tried to stop the car by which he was travelling near Urva in Mangaluru saying that his car tire is getting punctured. Knowing threat to his life Nayak escaped from the spot without stopping his vehicle.

Nayak was came out of his residence without his gun man deputed by the police department to provide necessary protection to him after he received life threat as he has been fighting against the murderers of RTI activist Vinayak Baliga supporting the members of family of Baliga. Speaking on the incident, Nayak has said that the Mangaluru City Police Commissioner has arranged additional police security to him after the unknow persons tried to attack him. Nayak added that his life and lives of the members of late RTI activist Vinayak Baliga are under threat as alleged murderers of Vinayak Baliga are the most influential persons in Mangaluru city.
