Mangaluru: One of the most sensational murder cases, RTI activist Vinayak Baliga murder case prime accused Naresh Shenoy has secured bail from the High Court, on Wednesday.
The verdict has been given orally, but not in written form. It is expected to receive the verdict in written form on Thursday.
Naresh Shenoy was absconded since the murder of Vinayaka Baliga took place on March 21. Later CCB police nabbed him at Hejamady near Mulky on June 25. Toll of arrested people increased to seven after the arrest of Naresh Shenoy.
Previously after his arrest his bail application at district sessions court was rejected by the judge Sarvodaya Shettigar on August 9. Questioning this Shenoy had applied for the bail in high court.
He even tried to get anticipatory bail from the high court twice and both the times his plea was rejected by the court.
He is said to be the master mind behind the murder of Vinayak Baliga. He hired the killers to kill Baliga.
