Kasargod: Uppala Krishna Master, who had won national award for teaching and a Yakshagana artist passed away on Wednesday.

He was 82 years of old. In 1994 he was conferred with best teacher national award, Kerala state best teacher award in 1987-88, Karnataka janapada Academy award in 1996-97 and such many awards and credits had received by him.

Though he was a teacher by profession, he had excellent Yakshgana skills.

He is survived by his wife and three children.
