Chikamagaluru: Karnataka Komu Souharda Vedike to commemorate its completion of 15 years, will organise a National conference titled ‘Souharda Mantapa : Hindana Nota – Mundana Hejje’ at district stadium on December 28 and 29, forum General Secretary K L Ashok said.

Addressing media persons on Tuesday, he said that a tribute will be paid to the demised members of the Vedike at 11:30 am on December 28.

A visit to Bababudan Giri will be carried out between 12:30 pm and 3:20 pm. A documentary will be released at 4:00 pm.

Writer B T Lalita Nayak, former leader Kadidal Shamanna and others will take part. A ‘Souharda Sanje’ meet will be held at 6:00 pm.

The meet will be inaugurated by Nidumamidi mutt pontiff Veerabhadra Channamalla Swami on December 29 at 10:00 am. Chief minister’s Media Advisor Dinesh Amin Mattu will deliver a keynote address.

The valedictory programme will be held at 2:30 pm on December 29, in which Gujarat Vadgam MLA Jignesh Mewani will deliver the valedictory address. Human Rights activist Teesta Setalvad will speak on the occasion. Freedom fighter H S Doreswamy will preside over the programme.

Komu Souharda Vedike Secretary Gouse Mohiyuddin, Pragatipara Chintakara Vedike leaders Krishnamurthy, Shabir Ahmed and Hasanabba were present in the press meet.
