Mangalore : Many who passed through the New Mangalore Port Trust on Sunday were shocked to see the National Flag hoisted upside down, in an apparent folly that had gone unnoticed.

The flag had been  hoisted on Saturday  by the CRPF officials. But none had noticed the blunder until Sunday afternoon when it was spotted. Though the Panambur police station and eh office of Mangalore North ACP was nearby it was not noticed. Finally when some media man informed about it, steps were taken to hoist the flag correctly.
