Mangalore : National Women’s Front will hold the publicity campaign in the Loyola Hall of the St. Aloysius College on October 17 for the National Women Convention to be schedule at Coimbatore on November 16.
Speaking at the press meet held on October 15, Wednesday national committee member of the organization Shahida Tasneem said that most of the women in the country are facing several problems and are being exploited the most and the convention will be organized to find the solutions for the issues of the women across the country.
She also said that women are facing problems like sexual assaults, honour killing, dowry, forced prostitution making their life into a miserable one.
India has very less women political representation in Lok Sabha compared to the neighbouring Pakistan and Bangladesh. Hence it is necessity to find solution for the problems they face in the country and strengthen them.
More than five to six thousand women are expected to participate in the convention, she added.
The state secretary Saida Yousuf, District President Nazeefa, district secretary Zeenat and others were present.
