Mangalore: Inaugurating the National Youth day celebrations on the 150th birthday of Swami Vivekananda observed by Sri Ramakrishna mission here at their centenary hall state youth welfare minister Krishna Bhaire Gowda eulogized Swamiji’s birth in India as a great day to celebrate among youth of several generations in the country, where he made strong speeches to guide youths on the right royal road of Hindu Dharma and patriotism in his days.
Krishna Bhaire Gowda referred to Swamiji’s stirring address on Hinduism and its world vide approach to humanity and Human values in his Chicago address of 1896 which created a revolution among Indian Youth and a sensation among world religious people. India took another 50 years to attain Independence in order to achieve Swamiji’s dreams about Indian public life and the advent of a youth movement after him.
Swami Jitakamanandaji of local Sri Ramakrishna mission welcomed the learned gathering of people devoted to Hindu ideals.
The CD “Narendra” (Swamiji) was released on the occasion by Vinay Hegde, Chancellor of Nitte University.
Moodabidre Alva’s College Prof. Santosh Alva conducted the proceedings, while Dilraj Alva proposed a vote of thanks.
Youth speaker, Tejaswi Surya also spoke during the august meeting of large gathering.
Director Professor K Raghottama Rao of Human Networking Academy at Bangalore was present during the program.
