Mangalore: The Dakshina Kannada district administration in association with Ramakrishna Mutt will be celebrating National Youth Day and organizing Yuvajanotsav camp to mark the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Swami Vivekananda.
Various programmes spreading over a week have been organized. Viveka Chetana to be held on the first day will be participated by nearly 600 youth delegates while a rally called ‘Viveka Sanchalana to be held on January 12 will be attended by 5000 students. The rally will be flagged off at Nehru Maidan by Nitte University Vice Chancellor Dr N Vinay Hegde.
Viveka Vandana programme to be held on January 13 will feature Yakshagana while there will be Viveka Namana on January 14 featuring magic show by Kudroli Ganesh.
A seminar for primary school teachers on value education, a youth awareness convention ‘Viveka Jagruthi will also be held. A convention for teachers ‘Viveka Manthana ‘ will be held on January 17. Photos of Swami Vivekananda, CDs and books will also be displayed.
