Mangalore: A charity show full of Carol songs for Christmas, western/eastern dances, music and multi-color entertainment, called ‘Navidad’ was held at St. Agnes College on Thursday, Dec 22, in the evening.
Louis Pinto, former President of Maand Shobhann, was the Chief Guest, who spoke of ensuring Christmas festival in terms of peace, happy tidings, and magic of renewed faith in God.
He described the essence of December 25, as sharing and caring when materialism had dominated the world.
He praised the organizers for arranging the show for charity purposes. Patricia Pinto, PTA vice-president was the guest of honour.
The found-raiser show had the objective of providing a home to the needy families, and donors included staff and students, parents and Alumni, besides regular benefactors of St. Agnes College.
The Navidad had a long tradition since 1996, when Merlyn Britto planned the programme.
A play ‘White Christmas’ enlightened the brimming audience, with true meaning of year-ending Christmas 2011 celebrations.
