Kasaragod: Kerala state intelligence bureau has warned the state government that naxalites are planing to attack 16 police stations in Kerala in revenge of the death of their colleagues Kuppu Devaraj and Ajitha who died in a police encounter near Nilambur in Kerala recently.
Naxalites are very likely to attack the police stations located in Kasaragod, Kannur, Wayanad, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Palakkad, and Thrissur districts.
The report has further stated, the naxalites are aiming some police aid posts and police cooperative centres functioning in Northern districts of Kerala. Meanwhile, the state government is planning to obtain the support of central forces to prevent any disaster.
The areas sharing boarder with Karnataka or located near boarder have been targeted by the naxalites. Many of police stations in Kasaragod, Kannur and Wayanad districts have been advised to remain on high alert said the intelligence bureau in a latest report to the state government.
