The Prime Minister said the government has begun extending the Kisan Credit Card facilities to fishermen. He said that the BJP has decided (as mentioned in its 2019 manifesto) to implement Matsya Sampada Yojana for fishermen.According to the manifesto, an allocation of ₹10,000 crore will be made under the yojana to ensure availability of storage and marketing tools, and infrastructure like ice boxes, cold storages, ice plants and the like, for small and traditional fishermen. Criticising the Congress and its allies, the PM said the Opposition parties have gone to the extent of calling the Army chief a ‘goonda’.
They have stooped to low levels, he said, and added that they also demanded proof of the surgical strike as they did not trust the county’s Armed Forces.
Mr. Modi said the Congress and its allies, including the JD(S), believed in dynastic politics and promoting the last member of the family in politics, while the BJP believed in nationality and pushing the last member in the lower strata of the society to the forefront.
