Bangalore : The Festival of Lights proved to be festival of darkness for many with over 30 persons majority of them children sustained burn injuries mainly injuries to the eyes while bursting crackers during Diwali celebrations.The injured children have been admitted to various hospitals.

In one instance, eight year old Pramod of Anepalya sustained serious injuries in his neck and has been admitted to Victoria hospital.Even Babu (13) and Anjal(5) of Jyothinagar and HAL area have been hospitalized after they sustained  injuries during cracker burst. In a similar incident, 11 year old Chethan of Leggere was also injured and has been hospitalized.

Even in Shimoga, a youth  and two children  suffered eye injuries during cracker burst.
