Mangaluru: “Corporation Bank has done a business of Rs 3,35,445 and fetched a net profit of Rs 36 crore in 2016’s first trimester time,” said Bank MD and CEO Jai Kumar Garg.
Speaking to the reporters on Wednesday he said that the amount of deposit has been increased by 0.91%, in SB accounts Rs 30.62 crore deposits has been collected.
“Operating profit of the bank is Rs 797 crore. But the net profit has been decreased when compared to last year it is because of increase in the NPA rate,” he said.
“Totally Rs 1,36,943 crore has been given as loan to the customers. For agricultural purpose Rs 26,655 crore loans has been given. Corp bank has also introduced ‘Corp Bank Green Pin’ facility for credit card holders. Bank is trying for the betterment of self help groups,” he added.
Managing Director Sunil Mehta, General Manager M B Ganesh and others were present.
