Mangalore : KJS Naidu, Commissioner of Railway Safety arrives on the construction spot at Nethravathi River to inspect the strength of pillars of the under construction Railway bridge taking place there on Friday, July 23.
Commissioner was accompanied by the chief engineer and senior officers of construction project going a head from past one decade. After receiving the first-hand account of the activities, he also inspected deflection load test, in order to examine the strength of the pillars of the bridge.
At present, the front portion of the bridge has been carried over 507.338 metric tons of test load for over three weeks and now unloading of stone from the bridge is taking place. Later he held the meeting with senior engineers of the project.
Senior Executive Engineer of the project Krishna Kumar assured to complete the construction work by the end of the year.
