Mangalore: The government is making every possible effort to ensure quality education in schools and also in ensuring more and more children joined schools, said district Minister and State Minister for Forest and Ecology Ramanatha Rai.

Speaking at the inaugural of the new auditorium and office building of the Government Teachers’ Training College near the Town Hall in Mangalore on June 8, Saturday, Rai said  it is education that helps an individual lead a meaningful life.

Mangalore South MLA JR Lobo who also spoke on the occasion, said  children should not be  unduly burdened with studies and must be given a free hand to choose a career of their choice.

Ramarao H S, Director, DSERT, Bangalore also spoke on the occasion.
