Mangalore : A new born baby was found between the railway tracks at the Mangalore Central Railway Station  on December 7, Friday morning. A railway employee who noticed the cries of the baby informed the authorities.

The baby was immediately taken to Ladygoschen Hospital and its condition is said to be fine. It is suspected that the mother had abandoned the baby boy soon after delivery as was evident from the umbilical cord  and the blood stains on the body.

There is a suspicion that the mother of the child might have left the place in some train. Railway police are conducting the investigations.
